Yaoui e.V. supports aid projects in developing countries. The current main focus of our work is locatet in Yaoui, a village in Benin, Western Africa. There we are supporting a primary school in order to provide access to education for all children of the village.

We deeply mourn the loss of our first chairman Ulrich Scharf.

Dear Uli,
with great gratitude we look back on the time we were allowed to spend with you. You have been an essential pillar of our association from the start. But most of all you were a wonderful friend. We will miss the mutual discussions, your advice in all situations, your humor and your unwavering optimism.
Your visit to Benin and Yaoui in early 2014 meant a lot to you and was also extremely important for the association. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that, too. We hope you are well at the place you are now. Maybe you look down on us from time to time and remind us of your motto: Don’t panic!

Ulrich Scharf left us on March 13, 2020 after a long illness.
